Source Discipline Card
The fastest message is not always the most useful message. Before forwarding something that could change behavior, verify enough to understand what is being claimed, whether it is current, and what harm an error could cause.
Before forwarding
1.What exactly is being claimed?
2.Who is the original source?
3.When and where was it observed?
4.Is there independent confirmation?
5.Could the information be outdated even if it was once true?
6.Does sharing it expose a vulnerable person or live location?
7.What action would someone take because of it?
8.Can the claim wait for verification?
9.If it is wrong, how will the correction reach everyone who saw it?
Decision
Forward / hold / reject / verify further
Reason
Correction channel if needed
