When better evidence changes an edited conclusion, the publication should change. The archived source should not be silently rewritten to make the history of the analysis disappear.

Check the cited material, competing evidence, scope, date, and whether the change is factual, interpretive, or currentness-related.
Publish
Correct or qualify the edited layer, record the change, retain the archival wording, and update review metadata.
